Languages and Communications

Hello fellow readers,
This is my work for the week in a mashup, so if you feel like there is something that I can improve on then please leave a comment below.

During literacy, we have been learning how to find themes in books. For me, I was trying to find a theme in chapter 7, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. But the theme that I was looking for was language and communication. Here is mine and look at my maths work below.

Language and communication in this book really import. The vogons and most other lifeforms pretty much speak another language. Language is a huge part also in everyday life. Douglas Adams has used language and communication very well.

Vogon poetry in chapter 7 is a big part of it. The Vogon poetry is just random words just put into sentences and apparently that's poetry. The book explains that Vogon poetry is the third-worst in the galaxy, the second-worst poetry is Azgoths of Kria and the very worst poetry is the Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings.

Arthur and Ford get captured by the vogons as they got picked up by accident by them. They are wrapped with a rope around a small brick wall. The fat Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz starts to reach into his pocket and blows the dust of an old book.

He starts reading his poetry and Ford Prefect starts to have a spasm, he doesn't really like the poetry. The Vogon starts to get up in Arthurs grill spitting saliva in his face. He steps back while finishing the last verse. He shuts the book giving Arthur a chill down his spine and is giving them a choice. It is either get thrown out of the ship into deep space or compliment him on his poetry.

Arthur starts to stutter and Ford is left speechless until Arthur starts to actually compliment him. He keeps talking about his free-verse and then stops and then Ford picks up his line as Ford's superpower is his mouth. The Vogon doesn't care and gets another vogon to take them to the airlock. They start to engage with a conversation and stalls him for a bit but then shuts the airlock and bye-bye.

To summarize this whole theme, language with the Vogon poetry plays a big role in this chapter as of Arthur and Ford getting read terrible poetry and them getting thrown into deep space. If there was no Vogon poetry or the vogons than the book would just be missing.

During maths, we have been learning about algebra. We get given a set of questions and have to turn them into equations, but we don't put the answers in as it can really be anything. Here is mine and see ya!!!

  1. 3c - 8 =

  2. P - 4 =

  3. 12x - 15 =

  4. 13 + y ➗ 5 =

  5. 50 + 100n =

  6. F ➗ 3 + 5 =

  7. 18 + 1.50t =

  8. 36 - P + 2 =

Missiles in Space

Hello Readers,

How have you been being back at school, are you liking being back at school. I would like to get better at my work so if you have any feedback than please leave a comment.

For maths, we have been learning about some algebra and how to use this website python. Python is pretty much a computer program that is an advanced calculator that can answer most maths questions. Here is a photo of what it is and here is a link that is like python. Here is a link. https://www.kaggle.com/

During literacy, we have been reading Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy and we had to research the physics of how things move in deep space and how sound travels in space. The reason why we are researching this is that some missiles get fired at them and then suddenly, a huge whale appears. Here is my description and a photo from the scene where the whale appears.

Objects in space follow the rules of physics, just like on Earth when you drop a pen it falls but in space that doesn’t happen, it’s the opposite. In space, it has no gravity so you will just float around. Whatever you put in space, it will just float.

On Earth, we have air that helps us steer, this is called inertia. In space, we don’t have inertia so we can’t control anything that we send into space. To make it change directions, you would have to have so many rockets or boosters for every direction.

For sound to travel in space there has to be with molecules for it to travel through space. On earth, sounds travel through your ears and vibrating air molecules.

In deep space the large empty areas between stars and planets there are no molecules to vibrate so there is no sound. So pretty much no molecules, no sound. That is just the rules of space.

Thanks for looking at my blog and please leave a comment and see ya

Buddy the Andridog

Hello readers,

If you feel like my post is amazing (which it probably will be) or if you think that you have any feedback then please leave a comment.

For literacy, we had to create an android of any recycled materials or any spare bits that you had around the house. For mine, I welded some old rusted nuts and bolts and created a dog android AKA Andridog. We also had to create a character description that had to include the background story of it. Here is my description and my android and See ya next time and please leave a comment if you feel like it.

My Android Buddy (AKA Andridog)
My android buddy is the cutest thing you will ever see. He is caring and cuddly. He was welded together from a warehouse in Taiwan as he was shipped over to China as he was going to get sold on the Black Market but thankfully, he escaped. That’s why he is so motivated to serve anyone.

Buddy was made from Vibranium so technically everyone wants to capture buddy and sell him but when he was built, he was made with an advanced weapon system to save himself. This weapon system can send missiles from satellites in minutes and can tap into anything that has a microchip or with any part that has technology.

He is terrified of ever becoming alone again. The president and the people of the Whitehouse are the only families he has. Every time he sees a welder, a warehouse or a shipping container, he loses his game and brings back terrible memories. This is when he is most vulnerable as he becomes depressed and tries to look on the bright side but sometimes, he tells himself that there is no bright side. It usually takes him a couple of hours to get back on his game.

Buddy is the best thing that ever happened to the world and he should be proud of what he has done for the world. He is definitely a fighter as he has saved himself and while in the process, he is helping crime in the city of New York. People on the streets call him RoboCop. He is incredibly smart in protecting himself and everyone else around him.

Amazing 90 Second Artpiece

Hello Readers,

Great to see you again. If you feel that this is a really cool thing than comment if you want or if you have some feedback.

For our work, we had to create some art on color push so if you want to do what I did search that up. Anyway, I put together a video that hadn't let me put it into this so sorry but here are 4 photos on what it looks like.

That's the end and please leave a comment and see ya

Hello Readers,

I just want to say I care about your thought and your feedback so at the end of reading this, if you want you can put a comment for some feedback.

For this week, my learning for literacy has been pretty easy, we had to choose the best thing that has been created and create a piece so I chose basketball. Here is mine and have a good look at it and if you find something than leaving a comment if you want. Thanks and see ya.
